This activity focused on the quality of the raw photographic image. Students were asked to take photographs around their home observing the themes of ‘line, shape and pattern’. The images needed to follow the rules of minimalist photography which include, only photographing part of the subject matter, the use of negative space, square/close cropping and the use of vertical/horizontal/diagonal lines. This task encouraged students to be creative and look at a familiar and confined environment differently.
