We believe we all hold a collective responsibility for our College culture and environment. Therefore, we try to reward both individual and group rewards based on the collective effort we all make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individual<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Individual achievement, attendance and high standards of courtesy and behaviour are all celebrated at College. Throughout the College praises are awarded by staff for achievement, effort and contribution to College values and aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Praise Points<\/strong> are tiered at three levels P1, P2 & P3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students can be awarded a P1 or P2 for displaying the Heathfield Habits and making a positive contribution in the classroom or across the wider College community. A P3 is issued for an excellent contribution over a period of time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Praise Badges<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum badges are awarded for the proportion of praises collected over the year in recognition of the efforts shown towards our culture and ethos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Community Awards<\/strong>
Equally high levels of attendance or conduct are shown through the termly which collect significant points towards a House total and recognise high levels of individual commitment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improvement Awards<\/strong>
Where students have made significant effort to improve attendance or behaviour, this is recognised termly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heathfield Experience Award<\/strong>
Based on their participation with the wider enrichment at College students will receive an award: Bronze, Silver or Gold for each year group to celebrate their engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Heads of Year have individual rewards they can use to incentivise and recognise behaviours appropriate to their year group: Q jump cards, raffle tickets etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collective<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Form based awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heads of Year or SLT can give rewards based on a form groups contribution to their House or Year overall attendance or behaviour. These are not set each year and can be adapted according to priority or evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

House based awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

House competitions throughout the term lead to both individual and team prizes, all of which accumulate House points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Houses are presented with a termly cup and reward based on the accumulation of house points over the term. Each term this resets so every House has a chance to win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the year the winning house traditionally takes part in a day of activities including inflatable adventures and quizzes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Annual Honours Awards<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is an annual prize giving event to celebrate the efforts and achievement of students. Awards and certificates will be presented to a number of students in each year group.  These include \u2018Effort & Progress\u2019 and \u2018Excellence\u2019 awards as well as the traditional Heathfield awards which are the Tony Russell, Gill Holtham, Paul Delderfield and Chris Gully Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All subjects and year groups nominate, nomination will not necessarily lead to an Effort & Progress Award, however, every student nominated by a teacher will receive a message from the College celebrating their nomination<\/p>\n\n\n

The Tony Russell Award<\/h2>\n
This award is presented annually to one student from each year group for exceptional achievement. The award is for someone who has achieved over and above their call of duty or ability in any field. They have made contributions to the College as well as excelling in a number of fields, including but not limited to, academic subject areas, sport or the Arts.
