There are occasions each academic year for every year group, when we ‘collapse’ the usual timetable.
These days are designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of subject disciplines, to promote new skills, broaden and enrich their experience often providing guidance for future pathways.
Ambition and breadth; developing the knowledge and characteristics to be able to access, succeed and thrive at the highest levels
The collapsed curriculum days encourage different types of interaction between students, helping to develop and build upon students’ communication and oracy skills, they develop team work and confidence outside of the classroom.
In the 6th from students have one collapsed curriculum day each year and take part in fortnightly enrichment sessions designed to enhance confidence, skills and determination in new situations.
