Successful Start to The New Term

The corridors and classrooms of Heathfield Community College came to life again this week as students and their staff returned to start the new academic year. Students have done exceptionally well, arriving smart and keen to learn, they have their equipment and uniform exactly as required and as such are demonstrating their commitment to succeed.  In lessons we have seen that focus and engagement which shows their appreciation of learning and the importance they place on their academic success. In social time it has been fabulous to see them outside chatting, playing sport and playing. It is a pleasure to see them enjoying their social time and space fully.

During the course of the next few weeks more information will follow regarding events for this term and the clubs and activities available as our rich and vibrant curriculum comes to life. For now they have made a great start and shown why we are justified in our immense pride in our ambitious community of young people.

ITV Meridian were equally impressed with the students they met this week,  as well as the organisation of everything in place to ensure we start the term safe and secure in our precautions such that the rhythm and routine of school life is allowed to become established. We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
