HEATHFIELD COMMUNITY COLLEGE OPEN EVENING THURSDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2019
I am writing to extend a warm welcome for you to attend our College Open Evening on Thursday 26 September 2019 from 5:30pm – 8:00pm. We are keen for you to experience the environment, learn more about the outstanding opportunities for students and collect a prospectus. We would be delighted to introduce you to our dedicated staff and show you our impressive learning environment and resources.
Heathfield Community College is a high performing secondary school and sixth form, we provide a welcoming and inspirational community where young people excel. Our results at GCSE and A2 consistently place us amongst the best in the county with attainment at GCSE significantly above national standards. We believe these outcomes are the direct result of our strong community ethos and commitment to excellence.
We aim to ensure you and your child will be able to see all areas of the College in action. You will be encouraged to participate in a host of interesting learning activities across the curriculum. It will also provide the opportunity to ask those really important questions about issues such as pastoral care, secondary curriculum and learning, extra-curricular clubs and activities, Special Needs provision or school transport.
Dialogue with existing students will provide an insight into what it truly feels like to be a student at the College. We want you and your child to gain a full picture of the College experience of success and personal fulfilment. The College will be open from 5.30pm to 8.00pm and there will be presentations, including an address from the Headteacher, in the Main Hall at 5:45pm and 6:45pm.
To enable you to find out more about the College in the time available I would recommend that you either:
• Attend the presentation at 5:45pm followed by a tour of the College or
• Take a tour of the College followed by the presentation at 6:45pm
